PLEASE -- Davey is requesting feedback on this whether it works or
not for you
=================================================================
Davey always said that his Sportsite was a last ditch means of
getting video Bike Race coverage
But now, depending upon your browser and geographic location, even
that may not work.
Here's a few tips:
Be patient and wade through the multitude of annoying spam traps.
Start at the top listed site and work your way down.
Change browsers and repeat the above.
Don't use TOR for a browseer.
Change operating systems if this possibility is available to you.
REALLY LAST RESORT
=================
This can be tested almost any time - Eurosport broadcasts on this
channel virtually continuously.
Davey only has Linux and Android available as operating systems,
but the following will give you video but no audio on the top
listed site
On your Android device (Davey is using a tablet) obtain and
install the "FlashFox" browser.
Ensure you have the system Video Player enabled -- it's called "UHD
Player" on Davey's system.
Go to the AlgarveServers Sportsite
http://algarveservers.com/sportsite/ (in Portugal)
http://inconnu.freeshell.org/sportsite/ (in USA)
http://www.bellacanela.com/ (country may vary!! Just parking here
on a site that Davey set up for someone that they didn't
eventually want that he'd paid for.)
Click the "Allsports" tab
The site is designed to bring up "Cycling" but click on it if it
doesn't
Select the Tour choice at the top of the list
Close any spam sites/popups/boxes that may appear in another
window
Wait for the countdown seconds to expire
Click on the dim "x" - probably on the right above the rest of the
spam on the page
Click on the "Play" icon
DO NOT click the "FlashFox" icon
Click on the "Video Player" icon, then "Just Once"
After two seconds you'll have video but no audio
This works on Davey's system --- It should also work on your
Android system
Go and find "Text Only" coverage if video alone isn't good enough
for you.
